The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has lowered gas extraction for Jan-Oct amid fall of gas production throughout the country, but increased it against September 2015.
SOCAR informs that by 1 November 2015 it produced 5.755 bn cu m of gas that was by 5.5% less than the index recorded for the same term in 2014 (6.09 bn cu m).
In January the gas extraction totaled 570.2 million cu m, in February 519.1 million cu m, in March 580.4 million cu m, in April 555.6 million cu m, in May 576.1 million cu m, in June 570.6 million cu m, in July 605.4 million cu m, in August 603.4 million cu m, in September 580.2 million cu m, and in October 594.9 million cu m.
Over Jan-Oct 2015 gas extraction in Azerbaijan, according to SOCAR, totaled 24.07 bn cu m that was by 5.3% less than a year earlier (25.4 bn cu m).
Last year SOCAR produced 7.245 bn cu m of gas that was by 0.5% more versus the 2013 index (7.209 bn cu m). The peak for 2014 was registered in January (691.5 million cu m) and in December SOCAR gas production made up only 595.3 million cu m.
